Learn Your Boat
Equipping and learning your new boat
We strongly recommend reserving 25-30% of your boat budget for after purchase equipping and upgrading to your requirements and taste. Modern systems are complex and there are a wide variety of selections on the market. Two Can Sail works with our clients to help them select the equipment that best fits their needs. We provide in depth training on all of these systems, especially integrated Electronics suites, on your new boat.
First Passage
Many couples choose to have help aboard for long passages, especially the first one they make together. Two Can Sail will sail with you on your first passage to help learn the boat on the way. We have sailed with couples on their first passage doing voyage training on the ICW and offshore from Houston to Buffalo and most points in between, as well as sailing to and within the Caribbean. In most cases, by the time we arrive at the destination, the couple feels fully confident in operating, sailing, and maintaining their boat for their future cruising goals.
