Thinking a Catamaran might be the ideal cruising home for you, or just interested in chartering a Catamaran on your own in the future? Team Jeff & Jean charter Catamarans so that couples thinking of trying a multihull can get hands on experience without the expense of going it alone. We also work with several Captain Couples that have been through our training and now have their own Captains licenses, ASA Instructor Certifications, and we have helped them buy their own Catamarans. These couples are offering Try-A-Cat sails for us and providing excellent training! Catamarans offer many advantages over monohulls and come with disadvantages as well. We strongly encourage our couples to try sailing a Catamaran, preferably in waters similar to those you intend to cruise, before making a very large investment. Catamarans are chartered at a premium rate and it is often expensive to charter one on your own as well as gain the experience needed to handle these large vessels.

So, join Team Jeff & Jean, or one of our Try A Cat couples, on a Try A Cat sailing! The yacht will be shared with other like minded couples and we will review the pro’s and con’s of different brands of Catamarans as well as the Cat versus monohull questions. All while blending in a sailing vacation in wonderful locations around the world.
