Buying the Right Boat
Determining which boat is right for both of you.
By now you should have good start on what you are looking for in a cruising boat. Now your goal is to learn much more about boat construction and design and to try as many different types of boats as possible. Two Can Sail offers "Boat Shopping Workshops" where you learn about Yacht design and construction, plus an exclusive try before you buy sailing program, partnering with several boat manufactures, dealers and charter companies in the Tampa Bay area. This is a weekend course where we look at boats in a yard through a surveyors "eye" with an Accredited Marine Surveyor (Jean), and spend the weekend day sailing on different manufactures boats to compare designs, performance, features and comfort.
Shopping, Survey and Purchase
Take your time on the shopping, it should be a fun part of the process! Two Can Sail offers boat shopping services as Buyers Brokers. By previewing boats for our clients we have saved them thousands of dollars in surveying and contracting costs by avoiding vessels that would not pass survey or meet their requirements. Once a target vessel is chosen, we help you move through the offer process, and purchase process. If you already have your Buyers Broker, we are specialists in surveying blue water sailboats and can offer our services at this step. If we are your Buyers Broker, than we can recommend top level marine surveyors in all of the major boating areas.
